THE REV. DONALD J. GRIFFIN
Father D. J. was raised in Rockwall, Texas, where he and his family were members of Holy Trinity by the Lake Episcopal Church, and where he first perceived a call to the priesthood as a teenager. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where he majored in Religious Studies, and completed his MDiv at Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin. He was ordained to both the diaconate and the priesthood in the Diocese of Dallas, and has served churches in Texas and North Carolina. He was called to be the third Vicar of Church of the Savior in late 2018.
Father D. J. is passionate about Anglican liturgy, music, and theology, and he is a devotee of C. S. Lewis. He and his wife, Sam, enjoy reading, playing board games, and sharing a cup of coffee or tea together.
